Print Lover’s Paradise: Nicole Miller’s Showroom
When everyone and their mother seem to be a blogger these days, I was exceptionally honored when Nicole Miller plucked me out of the masses and invited me to her showroom for a photo shoot with the Fall/Winter Artelier Collection. Walking into Nicole’s showroom is something straight out of my most fabulous dreams: the energy is evocative of 1990s Miami with colorful photographs splashed across bright white walls, dramatic black iron finishings punctuate the seemingly endless rows of covetable graphic prints, and there’s a welcoming attitude that makes one feel like they’re sitting in the living room of a cosmopolitan friend.
This liveliness echoes through her Fall/Winter collection, which is a perfect blend of punchy prints and urban-ready leather. I picked pieces like this neon green and black dress and layered it with this megawatt orange jacket from Elie Tahari, which was a festive decoration to NYC’s gloomy backdrop during our shoot. Excited by all the prints I paired this ombré Aztec top with snake-print skinny pants and anchored the look with metallic gold hightop sneakers from ASOS.
