A PEEK INSIDE: MY BEAUTY CABINET

1.Bliss Fabulous Everyday Eye Cream: It’s super gentle and moisturizing. 2.Differin Gel: Everyone gets picked on in high school, I had a mouth full of metal for eight years and was called flat-chested Mendenhall (who knew that would be a perk for fitting into designer dresses later on in life), but I had perfectly clear skin. It wasn’t until I moved to the east coast that my face decided to have a party, actually more like a head-banging rager. At the time, I worked for a major skincare company where dermatologists would approach me and give me their personal advice. Usually a list of chemical peels, aggressive scrubs, and crazy 5-step programs, yet nothing worked, and I looked like a giant tomato head. Then, one magical day I went to Dr. Maryann Mikhail and her regime was so simple: a retinol (Differin) at night and topical gel in the morning. My skin has completely cleared up, except for one pesky bugger that popped up as a result of not washing my face after a late night at Orient-Express. Luckily, after a few rounds of 3.TRIA Skin Perfecting Blue Light and a few dabs of 4.Murad Acne Spot Treatment it went away in no time.

5.Tweezerman Harajuku Lovers Tweezers: why have basic silver tweezers when I can have red ones. 6.Bliss Best of Skintentions: retinol requires sunscreen everyday, and this is the only product I’ve tried that doesn’t leave an oily finish. 7.Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution: A godsend of a product! While my skin is completely clear, the reminders of acne are left behind. After a recommendation from a friend, I applied this serum twice a day and within two weeks some of my spots have already disappeared.  8.Sue Devitt Microquatic Bioluminescence Illuminating Serum: Before I tried this product almost a year ago I was always on the hunt for something better, but now I’m a loyal woman, and this is the only moisturizer that touches my face. 9:Goody Finish Gel Cushion Brush: Typically this brush is in my handbag and goes with me everywhere, but since it’s one of my favorite staples I thought it justified a shining moment.

10.Balenciaga Paris Eau de Parfum: My fragrance of choice when I’m feeling I need a little edge. 11.Soap & Paper Factory Gardenia Hand Lotion: I know I sound like a total girl when I say this, but I fell in love with the pretty packaging. Luckily, it is a super moisturizer and is also perfect for layering up your feet. 12.Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne Parfum: One of my signature scents (the other is Chanel Mademoiselle), it’s such a fresh and feminine fragrance.
