YAH! Clueless celebrated a very special birthday this past Tuesday. This ultimate chick flick is absolutely unforgettable. I remember the day vividly, begging my stepfather to take my friend Lauren and I to the theatre and sit through 90-minutes of teenage girl magic. I fell in love with Cher Horowitz and her ultra cool clique, Dionne and Tai. I spent the rest of the summer pretending to be the the ultra-chic Betty, and saved my allowance to buy bottles of Naya water, plaid mini skirts and babydoll tops. Happy Sweet Sixteen Clueless!!!

    I didn’t imitate the movie’s fashions so much as those featured in the TV spin-off. Does anybody remember those stuffed animal backpacks that the leading ladies carried around school? I’m embarrassed to admit that I owned a leopard version of that fashion roadkill.

        Indeed I do. In fact, I would pair those sneakers with JNCO jeans so flared you could barely see the Sketchers. I’m eternally grateful there’s no photographic proof of that fashion phase of life.
