IT’S A SUNSHINE DAY

“I think I’ll go for a walk outside now the summer sun’s callin my name …” I told myself I wouldn’t post such a silly, retro song lyric, but I really couldn’t help myself. I often think the fashion industry takes itself a little too seriously, and sometimes a terribly dorky song just lightens the mood. Plus, it’s Monday morning, and there’s nothing fun about that.
After an impromptu trip to J.Crew on Friday evening, I discovered what I’ve been looking for over the past few weeks … a hot pink sweater, not only is the color a legitimate highlighter pink, but is also made from the softest cashmere around. I couldn’t help but immediately wear it on Saturday, even though that only lasted for about an hour under the bright sun at Elevated Acre park. I accessorized the look by layering necklaces from one of my favorite new jewelry designers Biko, sparking conversation from other park goers on where they could get the long black & gold chain necklace. To break up the pink overload I brought along my teal clutch from Eddera to diversify the color scheme.
